Thank you for visiting my site!
I’m a graduate sports journalism student in the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism at Arizona State University. I pride myself on being a well-rounded creative, being able to broadcast, shoot, edit, and nerd out on tech stuff whenever I get the chance.
I’ve wanted to be a sideline reporter since I started undergrad at Ball State University, and I’m so grateful that Sports Link took a chance on me, a kid with no resume, and continued to support me through graduation. I’m forever indebted. After a freelance opportunity to be a grip for Erin Andrews my junior year, for the first time I had vision. It was a total light bulb moment, and the way she worked was so incredibly inspiring. I made my ESPN+ debut shortly after that and fell in love.
ASU is where I’ve learned structure and storytelling in other mediums. Hard reporting, writing enterprise stories on big issues, audio storytelling, social media, etc. meshed with the skills I learned in Sports Link have aided my proficiency as a creative.
I’m currently based in Los Angeles at ASU’s new content creation studio, finishing my capstone semester. I passed on doing a news broadcast-focused capstone to come to LA because I knew I needed more development in social media. That was a tough decision to make, one that I wrestled with for a long time, but I find solace in the amount of growth I’ve seen in myself since moving here.
Looking forward, I desire to tell the stories of underserved athletes and individuals through the sideline/booth/studio, feature reporting, shooting, and social media. As a musician and fashion enthusiast, I desire to weave those cultures into the series’ I create and stories I tell. There are so many holes in sports that can be filled with culture, and our landscape is changing! Lets grow together.
